Information

"Introducing Global Stories is a four skills beginner level EFL/ESL textbook based on the popular Global Stories intermediate level text. Each chapter’s narrative has been reduced from six pictures with corresponding sentences to four. The theme for each chapter has shifted to more of a focus on the deeper issue and related solutions. For example, the picture story for homelessness is now found within the Shelter chapter. In addition, the readings have been shortened and simplified, and the total number of chapters cut from 14 to 12. While students will find the content as informative and inspiring as ever, lower level students will find it more accessible. Introducing Global Stories contains: • grammar dictation, shadowing, vocabulary recycling and content-based activities • activities include Thinking Deeper, Great News in History and Country Watch • first person narratives give moving examples of contemporary social problems • 76 full color A4 pages • an English-Japanese glossary • contents that educates students about issues such as child soldiers, landmines, and sweatshops" Free Teacher's Guide available
